OSMOS developed Weigh-in-Motion service to enhance Structural Health Monitoring of bridges. Using OSMOS Optical Strands weigh of the vehicles passing through the bridge can be monitored using WiM+D technology.

Unlike most commonly used Weigh-in-Motion applications today, this system is not intrusive to the road and bridge structure, the measuring sensors are attached to the underside of the bridge instead of under the road surface, so the system is easy and quick to install and maintain.

In addition to being non-intrusive, WiM + D has an additional major advantage: with the same data collection system and only using OSMOS Optical Strands, the bridge's Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and weight measurement of vehicles crossing the bridge simultaneously with OSMOS WiM + D system.
